Balfour Beatty Group launched a new division – Balfour Beatty WorkSmart. Wylde IA was appointed to design an inspiring interior and consolidate their national business into a Customer Support Centre (CSC) in Newcastle.
The BB WorkSmart CSC includes a conferencing and meeting suite, large breakout facilities, informal meeting areas, individual study booths and open plan office areas. These accommodate an array of departments including Payroll, HR & IT, all within a 3-storey CAT A spec building.
We achieved demanding project timescales by phasing the build to coincide with staff enrolment and training, along with the business development. Working with project managers, Trilogy, Wylde IA saw the project through to completion from test fit stage. We took a lead role in providing a truly inspirational interior to motivate and create a ’State of the art facility – a place where we do things properly, with spark and energy’ (BB WorkSmart Brochure).
