Last Wednesday, Tracey, Amy and Hannah from the Wylde team headed to Clerkenwell Design Week 2025, diving into the vibrant atmosphere and creative energy that the festival never fails to deliver. As one of the UK’s most anticipated design events, Clerkenwell once again became a buzzing hub of innovation, colour and collaboration – and it was fantastic to be in the thick of it.

The streets were alive with installations, product launches and creative showcases as showrooms threw open their doors to the design community. For our team, it was an opportunity to explore new trends, catch up with industry peers and gather inspiration for upcoming projects.

Among the many highlights of the day was a visit to Artworks Solutions, where a powerful and beautifully curated charity auction of one-off ALTO artworks was taking place. Each piece had been reimagined by artists and designers exclusively for the event, and the auction raised funds for Empire Fighting Chance – a brilliant charity supporting young people through non-contact boxing and personal development.

The bespoke artworks were showcased in new frame concepts designed specifically for auction displays, blending craftsmanship with purpose. It was a striking example of how commercial interior elements can be adapted to support both creative expression and meaningful causes – more on this to come in a dedicated blog soon.

At one point, we got wonderfully distracted by the lush courtyard gardens tucked away between exhibitions. Overflowing with greenery and carefully curated planting, these little urban oases added a refreshing calm to the day. As self-confessed plant enthusiasts, we couldn’t resist taking a moment to admire the textures and colours—proof that biophilic design continues to thrive and inspire across both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Throughout the day, we also explored a wide variety of showrooms featuring everything from surfaces and textiles to furniture and finishes. There was a noticeable focus on sustainability this year, with many exhibitors showcasing innovative materials and processes aimed at reducing environmental impact without compromising on style or performance.

Lighting, always a key component in our interior design practice, was another area we spent time delving into. We came across several stand-out installations and products that sparked conversation about how the right lighting design can transform spaces both visually and emotionally. We’ll be taking a closer look at these ideas in a lighting-focused blog later this month.

It’s safe to say that Clerkenwell Design Week continues to offer something truly special – a place where ideas are exchanged freely, creativity flourishes, and the boundaries of design are constantly being reimagined. For Wylde, it was a day filled with insight, inspiration and a few exciting ideas we’re keen to explore further in our own work.

Keep an eye out for our upcoming posts that dive deeper into some of the standout discoveries from the day – including that clever work by Artworks Solutions and the illuminating trends we spotted in lighting design. For now enjoy some of the teams gorgeous snaps from the day!
