Somewhere in Wylde’s busy schedule we found time to visit Clerkenwell Design Week 2023! As the UK’s leading design festival returned to EC1, we headed to the capital not only to view the thousands of cutting-edge products, events and stunning showrooms but also to host a session on ‘Hybrid For Humans’ alongside MONTROC Consulting. We had great fun giving our joint talk Hybrid for Humans at Verco, discussing our needs as humans and why many offices don’t reflect our needs and how to approach and change that- supported with outstanding illustrative visuals-minutes!

A gloriously sunny day illuminated London’s creative hub and the 160+ showrooms, 600 events, thousands of products, installations, brand activations, topical talks and more! The Wylde girls explored the local resident design showrooms, who partner with Clerkenwell Design Week every year providing the festival with a stimulating programme of topic-led events including talks, workshops and product launches. These participating companies include high-end furniture, lighting, surfaces, kitchen and bathroom brands – some of whom we’re familiar with, some our suppliers for projects and some that we were new to us and exciting to explore!
We particularly loved the large installations – from large scale flowers and plantlike creatures in the street, to huge colourful artwork and wall displays. At Wylde we love to go big and bold when it comes to design so we love to see it on display!
We also explored some interactive exhibition spaces and beautifully curated showrooms where we could see the products in action and (naturally!) test out some seating! We thought some of the lighting displays were spectacular!
Finally, it wouldn’t be a Wylde day out without making time for food and a giggle. Thanks to all of our friends, suppliers and to everyone who attended our talk at this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week – we can’t wait for next year!
